The North West Dragons batter Matthew Kleinveldt will be looking back fondly at his first-class career.
The 35-year-old who previously played for the Knights, Western Province, and Titans as well, called time on his career on the weekend at the conclusion of the 4-Day Series for the Potchefstroom-based team.
Kleinveldt played first-class cricket for over 15 years and in the process scored more than 8000 runs.
Kleinveldt, who is the cousin of the former Proteas allrounder, Rory Kleinveldt, said that it was a decision he didn’t take lightly.
