DA and ANC hit brick wall in budget discussions

ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa and DA leader John Steenhuisen were reportedly meeting on Tuesday to rescue the Budget and the GNU after talks collapsed. Negotiations between the ANC and DA over the national budget stretched into the early hours of Tuesday morning but ended without an agreement as the long-standing deadlock between the Government of National Unity (GNU) partners continues.
