The electoral system cannot be spared in the technological revolution, said the Electoral Commission of South Africa's (IEC) chief electoral officer, Sy Mamabolo, on the first day of a conference on electronic voting for the country. He added while many sectors of the economy drove digitisation, election management bodies could not be left behind.
