Standing Up to Bullying: The Cyberculture Foundation’s Fight for Safer Schools
--:--
Fight for Safer Schools Bullying is a crisis affecting over 3.2 million South African learners each year, with devastating emotional, physical, and psychological consequences. Many students suffer in silence, believing that speaking out won’t change their situation. In response, The Cyberculture Foundation, in partnership with Vuma, is taking action through an Anti-Bullying Awareness Roadshow on 5–6 February 2025, bringing crucial conversations and real-life interventions to schools across Gauteng. In this episode, Samm Marshall speaks with Vuyiseka Klaas, Co-Founder of The Cyberculture Foundation, about the urgent need to address bullying, the impact of social media on victimization, and how this initiative is empowering learners, educators, and parents to create safer school environments. Tune in for a powerful discussion on tackling bullying head-on and fostering a culture of respect and digital wellness in South Africa’s schools.
