Lack of resources for the police to police

The Citizen reports on its front-page story this morning that police officers in Tshwane say vehicle shortages mean they cannot fulfil all their duties, both at station level and in crucial detective units. They continue to state that private security experts predict it will kill morale and see crime increase further if management does not take steps to beef up resources.
