William Smith's family are appealing for footage of his life's work

The family of the late William Smith is asking for help from HOT1027 listeners to preserve his legacy.

It’s been almost 4 months since we lost the man who got so many of us through maths and science during our schooling years.

Smith passed away in August at the age of 85 after a short battle with cancer.

He was the driving force behind “The Learning Channel” – which made education available to millions of children in our country – but sadly, his family doesn’t have access to the precious archive of his work.
