Longbeach Mall Events and Initiatives

1. The Giving Tree Project (11 Nov – 15 Dec)
Join Longbeach Mall and The Rotary Club in spreading joy this festive season! Visit the grand Christmas Tree at the centre court, pick an angel tag, and grant a local child’s heartfelt gift wish. Wrap your gift, attach the angel tag, and place it in the donation boxes by the tree. Together, we can brighten young lives!

2. Wellness Day (Saturday, 16 Nov)
Discover your health status at Longbeach Mall’s first Wellness Day, hosted in partnership with the Fish Hoek Lions Club. Enjoy FREE SCREENINGS from 9 AM to 1 PM at the centre court, including:

Diabetes Tests (Lions Club)
Hearing Screenings (Hearing Aid Labs)
Breast Exams (CANSA, in a private area)
PSA Blood Testing & Blood Grouping (Western Cape Blood Service).
Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with local health professionals.

3. Kids’ Crafts at the Mall (Tues 17 & Wed 18 Dec)
Let your little ones embrace the festive spirit with fun-filled craft sessions led by local children’s illustrator Nicola Smith. Kids can decorate gingerbread house ornaments and Christmas angels at the centre court on:
Tuesday, 17 Dec
Wednesday, 18 Dec

Each day includes three 45-minute sessions (limited to 10 kids per session). Arrive early to secure a spot!

4. Back to School Drive (6 – 31 Jan)
As the new school year begins, Longbeach Mall and a local NGO are teaming up to support community children. Drop off school supplies—A4 books, stationery, school shoes, clothing, or sports gear—at our donation drive in the centre court. Contributions can be new or gently used. Our partner NGO will also offer a book-wrapping station in exchange for donations. Join us in making a difference for local schools!
