Botswana's new president Duma Boko used his inauguration to tell the world that he and his government were ushering in a "new political dawn". Taking to the podium, hand in hand with his wife, First Lady Kaone Boko, and their daughter, Boko, received a resounding applause. As he was sworn in as the sixth president of Botswana, Boko swore to "faithfully and diligently" discharge his duties and perform his functions in high office, maintain the constitution of Botswana, and uphold the country's laws.
