The world number one, Jannik Sinner, of Italy has won his second Grand Slam title for 2024.
Last night Sinner needed just over 2 and a quarter hours on court to claim a straight-sets win against Taylor Fritz to win the US Open at Flushing Meadows for the first time.
While the 23-year-old Sinner was out-served in the game by the 12th seeded American he won the final with a relatively comfortable 6-3, 6-4 and 7-5 victory.
Sinner said winning in New York was a lot harder than winning the Australian Open in January.
