Being the son of a Springbok legend brings its own pressures. Wikus Van Heerden’s father Moaner represented the Boks with distinction and in 2003 the younger Van Heerden received his chance. After an impressive start Wikus suffered an injury and was out of the picture for four years. But then in 2007 he returned to the Springbok fold and not only made the squad to travel to the Rugby World Cup, but played a part in six of the seven matches, including the final. In this exhilarating episode of Front Row Rugby you will get a firsthand account of what really happened as Wikus Van Heerden completed one of the greatest comebacks in the history of sport to take his place among a select group of Springboks who went all the way to life the Webb Ellis Cup!
