Now that the National Health Insurance Bill has been passed in the National Council of Provinces on the back of support from eight provinces, the controversial legislation will land in the in-tray of President Cyril Ramaphosa, who must decide what to do next. Sizwe Dhlomo and Sol Phenduka discussed the dynamics around the passing of the bill and took guesses on how long this bill will sit on the President’s desk. They also touched on whether this is the right time for the country to implement something of such magnitude, as well as , if signed, what would make this more special than other bills sitting on the President’s in-tray.
