Award-winning author Siphiwe Gloria Ndlovu says she drew on memories of her happy childhood in Zimbabwe to create certain scenes in her trilogy.

Her fictional book “The Quality of Mercy” has been short-listed for this year’s Sunday Times Literary Awards in partnership with Exclusive books.

It’s a redemptive love story about a police officer who investigates one final crime during Rhodesia’s transition to post colonial Zimbabwe.
