University of Limpopo academics, Dr Tebogo Kekana and Dr Edward Montle argue that the South African judiciary has not transformed adequately in the use of indigenous languages. In their research paper the academics say the courts have an over-reliance in the use of English even in circumstance that would allow indigenous languages. Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, co-author of the paper Dr Tebogo Kekana said the overuse of the English language is an injustice on indigenous languages.
