Helen Suzman Foundation takes Government to court over the cancelation of Zimbabwe Exemption Permits

The Helen Suzman Foundation (HSF) said its legal action challenging the minister of home affairs on the Cabinet decision to terminate the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP) was triggered by the “unfairness” in the process followed by Pretoria authorities. To discuss, we are joined by Christopher Fisher, Senior Legal Researcher at the Helen Suzman Foundation; Ngqabutho Mabhena, chairperson of the Zimbabwe Community in South Africa; and Dr. Sikhanyiso Masuku, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCT’s Institute for Democracy Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa.
