In conversation with Ofentse Pitse – One of South Africa’s leading conductors

At just 29 years of age, Ofentse Pitse has already made her mark in South African music. She conducts and runs an orchestra, Anchored Sound – which prioritises and spotlights black classical musicians. She’s worked with the likes of Nduduzo Makhathini and Mbuso Khoza and more. We speak to her about her music work, her history in archictecture, and she even gets a surprise call from an old friend from her architectural days
