Beloved Durban playwright and activist, Ronnie Govender (89) has passed away.

Ronnie was born in Cato Manor, Durban and through his many years of talented storytelling and his amazing art he was able to convey the strong feelings he had for his community and fight against injustice.

Artists, performers, fellow directors, playwrights, and many more have been left heartbroken as they heard the news.

Our very own Jayshree Parasuramen knew him personally and this is her tribute.
