Aariya, Abby and Julian launched today's spelling bee on a different note to this past week's upbeat one !

All three kids headed to the second round by default. It was a shock when they headed to the third round in the similar way.

Alas, Julian was able to spell the word "potatoes" !!

Julian is through to the semi-final tomorrow with Zenande, Daryle and Kiara.
