In today’s Fan Reaction Show, PSL fans react to the news that after 99 years as Mzansi’s oldest football, Bidvest Wits have had their PSL status purchased by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM), leaving coach Gavin Hunt without after a job after the 2019/20 season. While many believe the 4-time PSL champion should join Kaizer Chiefs after months of being linked with a move to Naturena, others have suggested Hunt should join Cape Town City. Hunt has repeatedly denied links with Amakhosi, stating his issues with the hierarchy structure at Big 3 teams.
Speaking to the South African Football Journalists Association last month, he recalled his interaction with an unnamed Big 3 chairman, stating: “I said‚ ‘Mr Chairman there’s only one problem here – you’ve got four or five bosses here. I’m the boss’. “He said‚ ‘No‚ no‚ that will never work’. I said‚ ‘I’m the boss. You know‚ I’ve got to bring‚ sell and buy. Obviously, you sell‚ but I’ve got to say this one can go and whatever’.
