This is Rodney Trudgeon and, even though the Jazz Festival has been cancelled, I managed to talk to the founder of the festival all those years ago RASHI LOMBARD, a name which certainly has clout in Cape Town’s music circles. He is the man who put our jazz scene on the world map and for more than a decade he managed to sign up top international and local jazz stars. Rashid is also well known and respected as a jazz photographer and political photo journalist.
