20 Oct Limited resources prompt SAPS early retirement

During the 2017/18 financial year, the South African Police Service received 300 applications for early retirement, with limited resources, lack of job promotion and fatigue being some of the reasons cited by those applying. This is according to Bonang Mgwenya, SAPS’ Deputy National Commissioner for Human Resources Management. Mgwenya was speaking at the SAPS Free State 2018 Excellence Awards that celebrate outstanding police officials in the province.
