Truck driver association launched

In an attempt to prevent road crashes, a new association for truck drivers from all over South Africa, has been launched in Bloemfontein. Deputy Secretary General of the South African Cargo Transport Drivers Association, Mashobane Kubheka, says there are already too many accidents involving trucks, and the reason for this, is that truck drivers are not getting enough rest. Kubheka says truck owners are pressurising truck drivers to drive more loads, in exchange for more money.
