Beating poverty is not just about money

Historically, poverty has been predominantly dealt with as a lack of material resources or an income deprivation issue. In countries like Angola and the DRC, multinational companies keep wealth from reaching the majority of citizens. But why is the continent's people so poor yet there is vast natural resources and mineral reserves?.
