Anglogold returns to profit in H1

Anglogold Ashanti's swung back to profitability in its first half. It's reported adjusted headline earnings per share at 21 US dollar cents compared to last year's 23 cents loss.
The move comes off the back of an improvement in its operating performance as well as a decline in costs. Now, production may have only increased 4%. But Angolgold is still expecting its full year output to come at the upper end of its previous forecast range. CEO, Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan joined Business Day TV on the line to take a look at the basis for that optimism.
