The 10th annual BRICS Summit kicks off tomorrow with the focus being on how emerging markets can further advance their economies, build diplomatic relations and improve socio-economic development in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, the threat of a worsening global trade war is set to dominate talks at the summit. Last year, Simon Freemantle, Political Economist at Standard Bank was of the view that the election of Donald Trump as US President could provide the BRICS block with a new lease on life, he joined Business Day TV to discuss this in relation the summit and the threat of a worsening global trade war.
