In the podcast, Spagni, who grew up in Johannesburg and who now lives in Plettenberg Bay, explains how he became involved in the world of cryptocurrencies and his work on monero.
He talks about his passion for drones, his launch of the multi-currency payment processor GloBee and why he decided back monero, a cryptocurrency that has a strong focus on privacy and anonymity. He explains how the privacy aspects of monero have been implemented and where he sees the project going.
In the second half of the podcast, Jain talks about the launch of Tari and why the consortium behind it is establishing its office in Johannesburg. Jain explains the problems Tari is attempting to address and why he believes it’s needed.
