Rodney Trudgeon’s guest is not only an accomplished musician but he is also a hugely accomplished musical entrepreneur who runs a highly successful CD label as well as a theatre in Pretoria which has been running successfully for 6 years now presenting operas, chamber music, Salon Concerts and solo recital.
He is Willem Vogel whose musical career began way back when he was seven. After his tertiary studies at Wits University, Willem embarked on an exciting and varied career in music which saw him producing operas and symphony concerts for live broadcasts on SABC television, music lecturer, vocal accompanist, 20 years as a church organist and performing concertos with orchestras in SA.
In 1994 he and his partner Daniel Vos launched the impresario company Salon Music which is now situated in their theatre in the Brooklyn Mall, the Brooklyn Theatre.
