The Free State Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation is hosting an interdepartmental choral competition today in a bid to promote unity among the different government departments.
The department's acting chief director, Vincent Khetha, says the competition will see choral teams assemble from the different government departments to contest for prizes.
They will have to perform prescribed songs such as the South African national anthem and folklore anti-xenophobia songs.
Khetha says the competition had to be rescheduled due to the passing of the Deputy Mayor of the Mangaung Metro, Connie Rampai.
