Hundreds of voter registration stations opened on time again in the Free State on Sunday for voters to check whether their details are correct or to register as a first time voter.
Saturday’s voter registration process in the Free State went smoothly accept for a few hiccups, such as tents not being pitched in time, or tables not immediately available at venues.
On Friday night a tent that was meant to be a voter registration point was destroyed in a fire in Harrismith.
The voting station in Ward 23 next to the University of the Free State had several visitors just after opening. One of the students, who registered for the first time, told OFM News why he registered.
