Tax expert Rob Cooper says Wednesday's budget speech will likely be Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan's most important one to date.

He says travel allowances is one issue that needs attention. Cooper said it would be best if these allowances were phased out over time in favour of travel reimbursements.
