We are exactly thirty days away from the local elections, did you register to vote? Do you have your Identity Document? Are you ready to vote? The pressure keeps increasing ahead of one of the most anticipated local elections in South Africa’s history.
Several parties have announced their candidates for this year’s elections, making it one of the most unpredictable elections yet.
Yongama Zigebe is the official mayoral candidate for the United Democratic Movement (UDM) in Joburg for the upcoming local government elections, making him one of the youngest people to contest for the position.
He serves as the UDM National Chairperson and as a Proportional Representation councillor in the City of Johannesburg, having previously held the position of National Secretary-General.
We are joined by Khayalethu Nyathi, who is representing Yongama Zigede, to discuss the UDM’s vision for Johannesburg.
