The race for Johannesburg’s next mayor continues, and we bring you the candidates who wish to occupy that seat. The Patriotic Alliance has elected Kenny Kunene as its mayoral candidate to contest the November elections.
PA party leader Gayton McKenzie has assured residents that Johannesburg’s problems will not be solved by leaders who stand back, saying the city needs someone who will come in and roll up their sleeves.
McKenzie says Kunene will be a mayor who serves all the people of Johannesburg. He also emphasises that issues including undocumented immigrants, hijacked buildings and the lack of funding in the city continue to be a problem and hinder the city’s progress.
Kenny Kunene currently serves as the Deputy President of the Patriotic Alliance and as the Member of the Mayoral Committee for Transport in the City of Johannesburg. He is now the party’s mayoral candidate.
