Flying out of the South Western Homing Society, or SWHS, under the Transvaal Racing Pigeon Federation, TRPF, Anees manages his own loft and competes across some of the country's most challenging routes from fast-paced short sprints to gruelling endurance races covering more than 600 kilometres. He is also nationally registered with SANPO.
