IN CONVERSATION WITH Vhatuka Mbelengwa Political and social commentator

South Africa’s political landscape has entered a new phase, with voters increasingly questioning the performance of political parties, the quality of governance and whether the country’s political establishment is providing credible solutions to everyday challenges.
Against this backdrop, a new political commentary platform is turning its attention to the state of South African politics, with a particular focus on challenging the continued electoral dominance of the African National Congress (ANC) and encouraging citizens to consider alternatives.
The initiative marks a significant shift for its creator, who says the new offering moves away from previous work in the e-hailing space and towards political discourse. Through platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, the project intends to examine what it describes as failures in governance, particularly around issues that affect citizens in their daily lives.
