House on the Hill

We visited a house on the hill, a pet-friendly self-catering venue just north of Johannesburg, near Lanceria. It's a perfect location if you're flying in for the weekend, or you want to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of Santon during the week.
I mean, there's no reason for you to stay only on the weekend. And not only are the tranquil surroundings ideal for couples and families, but the cottages are also beautifully appointed and ideal for the new style elope weddings. Yep, that small boutique wedding.
It's also pet-friendly. They do ask you not to let the pets sleep on the bed, which is real, because at the end of the day they have really nice linen and just beautiful cottages. It's also great for birthdays because you can hire the entire property for the event, and the furniture is all made on site.
It also makes you want to take it home with you, and as you can hear the kettle boiling, because we wanted to first make sure that we had coffee before we left. I mean, who wants to leave early? And in fact, the furniture is made on site, so you can buy the furniture if you like what you see. Why not put in an order? We almost did, because we just loved what we saw.
The cottages are fully serviced and have the only best in linen and crockery, and of course there's Wi-Fi. There are no TVs, because at the end of the day we want you to relax and enjoy. Some of the cottages do have TVs, so it's up to you what you want to do and how you want to spend your weekend.
We wanted to spend our weekend watching sport, and of course you can chat to Mark and Kim through their website, which is www.houseonthehill.co.za, and of course for more on Life is a Beach, I'm on Facebook under Life is Janine, and this insert was produced by The Real South African on behalf of the radio station called www.therealsouthafrica.co.za, and of course tv.therealsouthafrica.co.za, because you can catch both!
