Anonymous from Umhlanga is questioning whether she’s being controlling after her man repeatedly sends significant amounts of money to his family , sometimes R500, R2 000 or even more, without discussing it with her.
She says she has no issue with him supporting his family, but when you are sharing household expenses and building a future together, shouldn’t big financial decisions be a joint conversation?
His response? “It’s my money. I work for it. I don’t need permission to help my family.”
Now the question is: Is Anonymous being unreasonable, or does she have a point?
