IN CONVERSATION WITH A CAPPELLA GROUP INCOMPLETE
Loading player...
South African a cappella soul quartet iComplete is set to join the stellar cast of An Ode to Motown at the Joburg Theatre, lending their signature blend of soul, R&B, Afro-soul, gospel, and isicathamiya harmonies to a production celebrating the legendary legacy of Motown Records. Formed in 2001 by brothers Happy and Bongikosi Motha alongside Linda Thobela and Bubele Mgele, the group was discovered and mentored by South African jazz icon Hugh Masekela. Now, more than two decades since their formation, they step onto one of Johannesburg’s biggest stages alongside lead cast members Liesl Penniken, Lerato Mvelase, Tamara Dey, Hlengiwe Pearl, and Anele Precious Mthethwa. Today, they join us to talk about their journey, their sound, and what this new stage means for them.
