Instead, he received the surprise of a lifetime.

Raised by a single mother and driven by an unwavering passion for cooking, Matthew has always dreamed of becoming a professional chef and one day opening his own restaurant. Thanks to a R350,000 bursary from Hot Cares and Guvon Academy, that dream is now becoming a reality.
