IN CONVERSATION WITH Samukelisiwe Mfuphi

Samukelisiwe Mfuphi, National Coordinator at the
Academic and Non-Fiction Authors’ Association of South
Africa (ANFASA), is a cultural development practitioner
dedicated to advancing women in the arts and
strengthening South Africa’s literary ecosystem. With
experience spanning community media, festival
programming, and national policy development, she has
played a key role in initiatives such as Arts Alive
Johannesburg International Festival’s Alternative Spaces
project and the consultative process for the National
Theatre and Dance Policy.
