The Present Truth: Righteousness in Christ
Many people mix the Old Covenant with the New Covenant and end up missing the fullness of the truth revealed in Christ. In 2 Peter 1, we are reminded to be established in the *present truth* — the truth of the Gospel that reveals the righteousness we now have through Jesus Christ.
The Present Truth is not self-righteousness through the law, but righteousness by faith in Christ. Through Him, we are called to holy living, not by human effort alone, but by the transforming power of grace.
“I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.” — 2 Peter 1:12
