Dr Edgar Phukubje – Cardiovascular Researcher
Is a cardiovascular researcher and Principal Investigator involved in
research projects at AURUM. He holds a PhD in Physiology from the
University of the Witwatersrand, where he specialised in hypertension
phenotypes, cardiovascular dysfunction, and non-pharmacological
interventions in Black South African populations.
His research interests span exercise physiology, health sciences
education, and the broader understanding of diseases affecting
cardiovascular health. Dr Phukubje is particularly passionate about
advancing knowledge that improves health outcomes in African
communities, with a strong focus on prevention and early intervention.
