Historic Settlement: Justice for Survivors of Île-à-la-Crosse Residential School

The governments of Canada and Saskatchewan have each agreed to settlements in the Île-à-la-Crosse School class action. The school operated from the 1820s until 1976. Approximately 1,500 students attended, mostly Métis children from northern Saskatchewan. The settlements remain subject to court approval, and that hearing will take place on March 30–31.
