Discovery Vitality, in partnership with Nando’s, is set to bring the city to life with the Vitality Chicken Run on Saturday, 8 November 2025. The event, designed for everyone from seasoned runners to first-time participants, celebrates the everyday athlete and the vibrant spirit of Johannesburg.
The race will take participants through Jozi’s reimagined streets, revitalised by Jozi My Jozi, from Constitution Hill and Nelson Mandela Bridge to the colourful courts of Maharishi Sports Club and Ghandi Square. Every finish line crossed contributes to the community: a meal will be donated to a child in the Lorentzville community, making the final step even more rewarding.
“The Vitality Chicken Run is a celebration of movement, community, and Jozi’s unmistakable spirit. Partnering with Nando’s allows us to create an experience that’s not only about running—it’s about showing up, having fun, and making a difference,” says Celeste Williams, Head of Marketing at Discovery Vitality.
Participants can enjoy post-race festivities with music, entertainment, and food, fully immersing themselves in the energy of the city.
