Jozi My Jozi is partnering with Design Week JHB 2025 to showcase the vibrancy and creativity of Johannesburg through two curated events this October.
Saturday, 11 October – Soweto:
Creative20, in collaboration with Jozi My Jozi, will launch The Annual Kasiology Festival, a township-based celebration of design, creativity, and lifestyle. The festival aligns with the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa, spotlighting local talent and the dynamic cultural energy of Soweto.

Sunday, 12 October – Lorentzville:
At Nando’s Central Kitchen, Jozi My Jozi will unveil its latest creative campaign, Babize Bonke (“call everyone”). The campaign highlights extraordinary local champions shaping Johannesburg from the ground up and will feature an exhibition accompanied by a series of insightful talks.
Attendees on 12 October can engage in an inspiring conversation with community champions and creative visionaries exploring how authentic storytelling and collaborative design thinking are reshaping Joburg’s narrative—one voice, one story, one community at a time.

Babize Bonke celebrates Johannesburg’s unsung heroes, amplifying voices that are often overlooked while showcasing the city’s resilience, creativity, and vibrant culture. By positioning “people as the real gold,” the campaign reframes the city’s narrative, sparking curiosity, pride, and new possibilities.
The panel will discuss how Babize Bonke transforms lived experiences into powerful narratives, demonstrating how storytelling, design thinking, and collaboration can create inclusive, people-centered urban spaces.
