They cited issues such as discrepancies during the application process, late registration confirmations, and budget limitations as contributing factors.
This comes in the wake of a student protest at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) last week, where students demanded urgent action from the department and NSFAS over delayed funding. Many students said the delays have left them without food and facing eviction from residences due to unpaid accommodation fees.
