On Friday, Africa witnessed history as Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah became Namibia’s first female president. She is also the first woman to lead a country in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).At her inauguration, the 72-year-old said she was elected based on merit, not gender.
