Alain St.Ange, of Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy, a former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine of Seychelles is listed as an expert in tourism was named the “most tourified Tourism Minister in and outside Seychelles” by “Ozordi Dimans” of Seychelles, awarded the “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR PROMOTION OF THE TRAVEL TRADE” by PATWA (2023), appointed Board Member by Sayari Dunia Sustainable Tourism Foundation of Nigeria (2023), appointed VP of the AFASU Tourism Sector and Vice-Chair of the AFASU Gold Awards Committee in Egypt. Received the Tourism Eminent Achiever Award in Africa (2015), the “Global Achievers Award” by NRI India. Received in the USA the Key to the City Award by the City of Detroit, an Honorary Citizen of Sioux City Iowa and a ‘Key to the City Award’ by Tuskegee Alabama, the ‘Mahatma Gandhi Samman’ Award in India, the “Commandeur de l’Ordre National” in Madagascar, a Conseil Regional Medal in Reunion and ‘Commandeur de l’Ordre de L’Etoile de Moheli’ Comores (2014). Was Honoree for the African Diaspora World Tourism Hall of Fame (USA). Received a “Certificate of Recognition” by SCCI, a ‘Plaque of Honour’ at House of Lords, London & the “Travellinks Eminent Achiever Award” (2015). He is the Dep SG FORSEAA (Jakarta), the VP International Relations for TMN (New York), Co-Chair SUNx Organisation (London), VP & Founding Member ICTP, named eTN Ambassador. Coined ‘A Seychelles’ Master of Promotion’ by Int Kreol Mag in UK. Admitted in ‘Chaine Des Rotisseures’ (1995). A consultant to PMAESA in Mombasa, CIOA in Durban, a ‘Honorary Member’ of the “Patrick Victor Cultural Foundation” (2016), received an “Address of Appreciation” by Shannon College of Ireland, a Message from Queen Elizabeth II on Diamond Jubilee Beacon Lighting event (2012) and named ‘Ambassadeur Ile de La Reunion’ (2012). Was the founding president of the Vanilla Islands, the African Tourism Board and co-chair of Project Hope.
The Seychelles Tourism presented him a “Certificate of Recognition” (2017). In 2019 he was named part of the “African Travel 100 Global Tourism Personalities” in Nigeria, received “Change Maker in Tourism Award” in South Africa and entered the “International Hall of Tourism Heroes” (2020). Was appointed Chairman Board of Trustees of the Arab Tourism News Portal – Al-Masala. Was included in the “Global Icons of Travel & Tourism” Book and included in “Top 30 Hospitality and Tourism Influencers in Africa” by The Pyne Awards (2021).
