#2 Through the Karoo Towards the Swartberg Pass

Welcome back to the second part of our epic adventure through South Africa’s iconic mountain passes! In this episode, we continue our journey through the Karoo as we tackle days 3 and 4 of our tour, accompanied by experienced adventure riders Hermann Kistner and Joe Lüdemann.
We begin with the open plains and rugged charm of the Karoo, passing through the historic towns of Cradock, Pearston, Jansenville, Mount Stewart, Steytlerville, Willowmore, and De Rust. Along the way, we cross Swaers Hoek Pass, navigate the stunning rock formations of Meirings Poort, and make our way up the legendary Swartberg Pass. Our journey takes us deeper into remote territory as we drive into the secluded valley of Die Hell/Gamkas Kloof, a place known for its solitude and rich history.
