Daily Thought
1 Kings 19:9
“There Elijah entered a cave and spent the night. And the Word of the LORD came to him, saying, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’”
In a moment of weakness, Elijah found refuge in isolation.
But right there in his weakness and isolation the Lord met with him.
You see, God still had a purpose for his life.
We may retreat in fear or doubt, but God calls us upwards and onwards.
Let’s Pray…
Lord, thank You for seeking me out when I face despair and discouragement. May I never forget that You are with me and You are calling me to step out in faith and confidence in Your love and providence.
Amen.
