There is a word that strikes dread straight into the hearts of most South Africans, a spectre that loomed over our heads for far too long, a word that robs us of productivity, costs businesses billions and even contributes to an increase in petty crime...yes, you guessed it: LOADSHEDDING. Even though we've had a blissful 153 days free from this scourge and ESKOM says those power issues are behind us for the most part, citizens have lost faith with the national energy provider and are understandably distrustful, having endured the rolling power outages since 2013. So much so that many have purchased invertors or have moved to solar energy, which can be very costly.
