Trevor Noah wins his first Emmy after 17 nominations

After receiving 17 nominations over the past five tears, Trevor Noah has finally won his first Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Series with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah at Monday night's 75th annual awards ceremony. Noah has had a great start to the year. He was nominated at the Golden Globe Awards for Best Stand-Up Comedian in Television and is also nominated for the Grammy Awards Best Comedy Album. During his acceptance speech he thanked all the Africans who joined him when the Daily Show started in 2015.
